Forest walks is a group run by Headway Derby that is set to get people out and about walking on a range of terrain and exploring new places.
Forest walks help bring physical activity into the recovery of someone with a brain injury. There have been many studies proving that physical activity benefits a person’s recovery and mental wellbeing and here at Headway derby that is what we want to do.
Our Forest walks allow for people who have a brain injury to go out and have a good chat and just enjoy themselves, being close to nature and just being in the fresh outdoor space.
This group is led by Rebecca, Emma and Iona from the Headway Derby team.
